Whether you like him or not, admiration for President Trump is growing beyond anyone’s expectations. After experiencing a guilty verdict in a case that could not state a crime or a victim, the public showed President Trump support by sending nearly 59 million dollars in one day to assist his fight against Washington. Was it because they saw a judge deny witnesses and give strange orders to a jury for a predestined outcome? This could be true. But, I mostly believe people are sending support due to their respect towards his fortitude and strength to fight against a corrupted government. The odds of winning are seemingly impossible, but yet he stands. This picture of one man standing against evil caused me to ask, “Will I be able to stand against forces that seek my silence in proclaiming the Kingdom of Yahweh?”
So, what causes us to be silent? Are we ruled by fear of losing our lives or material goods? If we still think or believe that our present life is terrible and all may be lost, I think we are focusing on the wrong belief system. For me, seeing wickedness in broad daylight, lets me know the time we are presently in. The markers of a lawless government tell me that the Kingdom of Yah is at hand. And, if I care about the salvation of those around me, I should introduce them to a God by the Name of YHWH who is willing to rescue them.
The book of Numbers (B’midbar) starts with Yahweh asking Moses to take a census. It was in the second year of coming out of slavery that Yah sought those of fighting age to prepare themselves for war, for they would be facing insurmountable odds from the surrounding nations and within the land that they were being commissioned to take. Does Yahweh need us to stand for Him to fight the powers of darkness? It is He who conquers. Maybe he is seeking those who are not afraid and are willing to follow His commands. I recall a young David, as he faced Goliath saying,
“You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. . . YHWH will conquer you, and I will kill you,” I Samuel 17:45
Judging from stories within Scripture, I believe Yahweh fights for those who stand for Him. Many times, He would tell Israel to stand and watch Him fight.
“But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever. The Lord will fight for you while you hold your peace.”
Exodus 14:13-14
“Do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God Himself will fight for you.”
Deuteronomy 3:22
“The LORD your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as you saw Him do for you in Egypt.” Deuteronomy 1:30
“. . .and you have seen everything that the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake because it was the LORD your God who fought for you.” Joshua 23:3
Yah’s willingness to fight for us is fascinating. He does so when we commit to follow Him . . . when we have faith to step forward. Abraham was counted as righteous due to his belief in stepping away from a family who worshiped idols and to seek a Living God. Likewise, Israel witnessed the hand of Yah, when coming out of slavery while learning to follow Him. This tells me that Yahweh doesn’t start fighting for you when you are perfect. He starts to fight for you when you decide to follow. This action begins our journey to becoming a warrior for Elohim.
This leads me to another question, “How do I know that I am fighting for the right Kingdom?” I believe answers are found by those who learned to stand.
We know the Kingdom Through a Unified Body
“For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Messiah. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one part, but many.”
I Corinthians 12:12-14
We Know the Kingdom Through Actions:
“. . . the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed of whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:17-18.
We Know the Kingdom Through The Spirit and Confession
“By this, you know the Spirit of YHWH, every spirit that confesses that Yeshua is the Messiah has come in the flesh is from the YHWH, and every spirit that does not confess Yeshua is not from YHWH.” 1 John 4:2-3
Dear friends, if you are listening to people who spew hatred or gossip towards a group of people, you are most likely not standing up with the right army. If you are with people who lack mercy, who are not claiming the blood of Messiah, and who want to separate or isolate themselves from believers, then you are most likely missing the proper commander.
Standing up to be counted with the heavenly army hosts, takes faith in the Mighty Hand of Yahweh and not the hand of any man or woman. It might seem impossible at the time. But in Him, all things work together for good for those who love Him. So, stand up and be counted! Enter the fight with confidence and never back down in your faith. Push the rock of darkness back where it belongs!
Be blessed,
Rollyn
