What did you dream about when you were young? Have your dreams come true?
When I was a boy growing up in rural Wisconsin, I dreamed about being a mountain man in the wild frontier. I loved the stories about men who lived close to nature in the wild west. In this day and age, my dreams came true after I had heard the Gospel and received Yeshua in my heart. My Heavenly Father called me to go west young man, and west I went. Before I retired, I worked 37 years for the Forest Service in the beautiful Cascade mountains of Oregon. My boyhood dream had come true.
Now my dreams are different. After I had moved here as a young man, I dreamed many dreams having to do with being on the move, journeying to unknown destinations. Usually, I’d be traveling with large groups of people in various modes of transportation – bus, plane, and on foot were the primary means.
In recent years I had no dreams of traveling like that, that I can remember. But the morning of my writing this, I had another vivid dream of a large group of friends and family loading up in two huge buses. Everyone had a sense they had to leave, or they would not survive. I don’t remember what the threat was, but only sensed an urgency and a necessity for everyone to leave.
For the most part, fear did not panic the people. A few were worried, but everyone was orderly and smoothly filling up the two buses. The buses were so full that there were limbs of passengers hanging out the doors and windows. Yet there were still several people remaining that couldn’t fit in. I didn’t hop on until I knew that every last soul could find a ride.
Then a friend in a big pickup and trailer came rumbling in; it was then I knew that everyone could make it out. Having that shalom, I woke up.
Where we were going? Like most of my dreams, I had no idea what the destination was. Believing they came from YHWH, these transport dreams have yet to become true.
Then Leslie and I were invited to see ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’
Joseph's Dreams Coming True
Joseph as a boy dreamed about sheaves bowing to him, that is, the luminaries in the heavens bowing before him. Imprisoned for so long in Egypt, his dreams must have seemed impossible to ever come true. But we know that through the agency of famine, YHWH brought the eleven brothers down to Egypt to bow before Joseph. Their arrival and submission fulfilled a big part of his dream, but not all.
At the end of his life, Israel bowed before Joseph agreeing on a vow for Israel’s bones to be buried with his fathers. Here we see the sun in Joseph’s dream bowing before his star, this part of the dream coming true.
And he said, “Swear unto me.” And he (Joseph) swore unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head. Genesis 47:31
Israel bowing before His son foreshadows all of the seed of Israel bowing before their Messiah, Who is none other than the one and only true God. To be keeping the first and second commandments to not have any other gods before Him, Joseph’s dream must foreshadow bowing before a Divine Messiah, Joseph is a clear type of the Master Yeshua.
When Israel bowed before Joseph, the context was with his death and burial. Israel bowing before his son then foreshadows believers coming to the foot of the cross, dying to self, and burying the old man’s sin nature through the work of the Messiah’s death on the cross, burial, and resurrection. Bowing at the foot of the cross is bowing before Yeshua.
For millennia, He is known as the Messiah Ben Yoseph, the Messiah, the Son of Joseph. Bowing to the Master Yeshua is to submit to His authority over our hearts and lives. That’s how the dream comes true.
Where is Mom?
We saw how the sun, Israel, and the eleven stars, the brothers, fulfilled Joseph’s dream of bowing down to him; but what about the moon for his mother? When does the moon bow to Joseph’s star? Joseph’s mother Rachel had died giving birth to Benjamin before his brothers went down to Egypt to bow before Joseph. Therefore, Rachel has yet to bow before Joseph.
We see Rachel appearing at the time of the birth of Yeshua when He was born (Mat 2:16-18). There she was weeping for her children well before the Messiah would ascend to the throne of Heaven. By this, we learn that the life of Rachel is lived out through her children, her descendants.
Miqeitz meaning at the end of’ has prophetic implications for the restoration of the family of Israel to be fulfilled in the troubled end times. When will the life of Rachel be lived out through her children at the end of times? When do Rachel’s children bow to the Messiah? Could it also come at a time of Rachel again weeping for her children, a time of Jacob’s trouble?
The Great Sign in the Heavens
John saw in a vision what he called a great sign in heaven’ which pictures a moon (Revelation 12:1). Hey Hebrews, could this be the moon of Joseph’s dream?
Leslie and I and a small assembly of Hebrews at brother John Kaeb’s property witnessed this sign during a Shabbat service back in 2017:
The moon is in the position of humility, a place where one would bow prostrate at the feet of a mighty authority. But of course, believers are not to bow before anyone but Elohim (1st & 2nd Commandments). The moon reflects how this woman relates to the sun by which she is clothed. The sun represents the Father, Who emanates as the Light of the Son Yeshua. Her identity as the moon shows she is not the source of Light, but only reflects the Light and Life of man (John 1:4).
Above the moon, the sun burns bright as the blazing ball of fire in heaven, picturing a woman baptized, or immersed in the fire and the light of the sun. John the Baptist said that Yeshua would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Luke 3:16). For there to be light, there must be fire. This woman is baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire by Messiah Yeshua, Who is the Light emanating from the Father.
We now see that the moon under the woman’s feet shows her submission to the sun, the Divine Messiah above her, in and through her by clothing her.
But where is there a connection to Rachel here? Could this woman sign be Rachel in Joseph’s dream?
Rachel and the Great Sign
Like Rachel when she gave birth, this woman of the Great Sign ‘was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.’ Rachel cried out calling her newborn son ‘Benoni,’ meaning ‘son of my sorrows.’ But Israel renamed him Benjamin – ‘son of my right hand,’ pointing to the last generation.
The prophet Micah referred to Rachel by referring to the place of her death (Gen 35:19) where she bore a child: “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.” Therefore He will give them up until the time when she who is in labor has borne a child. Then the remainder of His brethren will return to the sons of Israel. Micah 5:2-3
From the location where Rachel gave birth to Israel’s last son, whom do you think this is – ‘One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.’? Of course, this ruler is the Messiah Yeshua. He is the Son Who sits on the right hand of the Father, fulfilling the name Benjamin. No coincidence, the Messiah and Benjamin were both born in Bethlehem Ephrathah. The connections between the woman with Rachel are just amazing to me!
When Yeshua was born, a king was looking for the baby who was prophesied to be a king, threatening his legacy:
And they said to him (King Herod), “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it has been written by the prophet, ‘And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judea, in no way are you least among the governors of Judah, for out of you shall come out One ruling, Who shall shepherd My people Israel.’” Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:5-6 Are we not in a time when babies are being slaughtered because we threaten today’s rulers?
Yeshua is the One Who will shepherd. It is no coincidence that Rachel’s name means ‘ewe,’ a mother of sheep to be shepherded by the coming Good Shepherd at a time of death and sorrow.
Regathering the Remnant
Micah continued with his end-time prophecy that after she who is in labor gives birth to a child, ‘then the remnant of His brethren will return to the sons of Israel.’ (Micah 5:2b) When did this regathering of the brethren happen in the life of Joseph? At the time his brothers came to bow before him as a ruler in the world, their last time with Benjamin. This is so prophetic of our day!
Benjamin was a type of the last generation when the remnant of Israel will regather at the feet of Yeshua. The end-time remnant will be baptized in the Spirit and fire, clothed with the Son, the Light of the world. This reunited remnant will be one new man completely submitted to the Messiah.
For He is our peace, He making us both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, in His flesh causing to cease the enmity, the Law of the commandments in decrees, that He might in Himself create the two into one new man, making peace, and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, slaying the enmity in Himself. Ephesians 2:14-16
HalleluYah! In Messiah, all hostilities of the brethren will be slain through the work of the Messiah! They will all be as One in His love! No more sad divisions and animosity in the One New Man!
The Remnant of Israel - The Overcomers
This company of believers are whom the woman gives birth to seen in the Great Sign in Heaven:
And she gave birth to a son, a man child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and His throne. Revelation 12:5
This ‘man child’ will be the one who will be like the prince Joseph, ruling the nations with a rod of iron.
Who is this remnant and what do they accomplish Miqeitz (at the end)?
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.” And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. Revelation 12:10-11
First, we must believe and proclaim the power and authority of our Messiah.
Then, even our archenemy, ha’satan will be under the feet of the overcoming remnant of Israel! Isn’t that whom we want to become a part of in these last days? During Jacob’s trouble, we will either be under the enemy’s feet, or he will be under ours. Only the overcomers will reign with our King Yeshua.
One day, we will have to leave the land and nation we had been so comfortable with to regather where the Messiah will return. During a time of great famine and trouble on the earth, the remnant of Israel will return to where the Bread of Life, Messiah Yeshua is worshiped and honored as the King of Israel.
All of creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth (Rom 8:23), called ‘the birth pangs of the Messiah.’ Who is about to be birthed? The king planet Jupiter was birthed out of the woman in the Great Sign of heaven in 2017. It was a road sign for what was coming soon. We are eagerly awaiting the adoption of sons into ‘the Israel of God (Gal 6:16). Becoming overcomers is what I’m looking forward to! When studying prophecy, why do we spend most of our time looking at what the devil, the antichrist, the Beast, the Whore of Babylon, the Deep State, wars and rumors of wars, tyranny, and pestilences, on the dark side? Let’s spend more time looking to and preparing our hearts and lives on the bright side of what is about to be birthed in the world:
Messiah in you the hope of glory Colossians 1:2.
One day the remnant will arise as Ezekiel’s army (Ezek 37)! All of Israel will be saved! One day every knee will bow and every knee will confess that Yeshua is YHWH (Philippians 2:10). He is God! He is LORD!
Let the assemblies of Israel be subject to the Messiah (Eph 5:24). Are we ready to be that bride without spot or wrinkle (Eph 5:27)? Let’s prepare our hearts, our thoughts, our words, and our actions to all be in submission and alignment with our Master Yeshua. The restoration of Israel is about to be birthed!
