Will God Make Himself Known to You?

Posted on January 15, 2026 by MVF Silverton

Are you longing for the Presence of the Lord to be made known to you?  I’m convinced that it will happen, is happening, or has already happened.  We just need to open our eyes and ears!

YHWH speaks to Moses in Exodus 6 and says, “I AM the Lord!”  and I want to make Myself known by My Name.  This has led me to ask, “Why had YHWH waited to reveal the fulness of His Name for so long to those in Egypt and is He waiting for us as well?”

I would like to suggest that YHWH’s Name has always been in place, but the complete nature or presence of His Name would be made evident in the miracle of pulling Israel out of bondage.

The phrase “I appeared” in Hebrew refers to the Name of God.  It’s a description of what He will do.  In fact, before the plagues of judgement fall on Egypt and Isarel, YHWH speaks to Moses, stating, “I am the Lord” six times.  Why?

Consider the following actions of His Name as given in Exodus 6 & 7:

6:5  I heard and I have remembered

6:6  I will bring you out from under the labors of the Egyptians

6:6  I will rescue you from bondage

6:6  I will redeem you with an outstretched hand

6:7  I will take you as my people

6:7  I will be your God

6:8  I will bring you to the land promised to Abrham, Isaac, and Jacob

Do these words match up with your salvation story?  If you don’t see your story, consider Isreal. With the years they had spent in bondage, they had grown despondent and were crushed in spirit.  They didn’t recognize YHWH’s Name nor His servant Moses (6:10), due to their loss of hope.

Over time, Israel begins to accept Moses.  The Hand of YHWH demonstrated His miracles, moving His people towards hope.  It’s fascinating to see this same type of picture in the New Testament, where Yeshua fulfills The Name—Yod Hey Vav Hey, giving hope to those who seek.

Yod-The Outstretched Hand,     Hey-Behold,     Vav-The Clinched Nail,     Hey-Behold

Let’s take a look at other people who encountered the full appearance of The Name.  (The written Gospels point out several of them, but do not recount all of them.  Jn. 20:30)

Mary Magdalene: “Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” John 20:16-17

Other Women Mary of Clopas, Mary the mother of James and Joanna:  “So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Hail!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Matthew 28:8-10

Two Disciples on the Road to Emmaus:  “That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem. As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened.   As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.”  Luke 24:13-43

The Apostle Peter: “The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”  Luke 24:34

The Disciples (Without Thomas):  As they were saying this, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you” Luke 24:36

The Disciples (With Thomas):   “Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”  John 20:26-29

Seven Disciples:  “After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias; and he revealed himself in this way. Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.”  John 21:1-2

Five Hundred Disciples:  “Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians 15:6

James and the Apostles:  “Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.”  1 Cor. 15:7

Before the Ascension:  “Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple blessing God”.       Luke 24:50-53

A couple of Sabbaths ago, I stressed the importance of making “the main thing the main thing” when we come together to fellowship.  That “main thing” in my opinion is Yeshua our Messiah, for it is He who demonstrated the Mighty Hand of Salvation.  So often we like to believe in our own works.  But if you have noticed in this week’s study, the “I AM” is the Only One who does it all.

The prophet Isaiah gave these words from YHWH against those who believe they can operate outside of His Name,

“Your wisdom and your knowledge it has perverted you and you have said in your heart “I am.”           (Is. 47:10).

In Luke chapter 11, we read how Yeshua cast out a mute demon, but was accused by the Pharisees that His power to rule over spiritual forces was from satan.  But when being accused, Yeshua reminded them that a kingdom (or the house) when divided fails.  He went on to state if anyone was not with Him, they would be against Him, causing them to be scattered.

In short, division occurs when we choose to believe lies of the accuser and not the Redeemer!

Yeshua reigns!  Let us worship Him and be set free from sinful bondage.  Accept His sacrifice and His redemption and you will witness His appearance in your life.  If we humble ourselves and pray, He will appear in the gatherings of all those who seek Him!

Be blessed,

Rollyn

2 Timothy 1:9

9 He has saved us and called us to a set-apart life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Yeshua ha'Mashiach before the beginning of time,
