No one expected such an outcome in this year’s mid-term elections. But yet, here we are. In just two short years, America’s vote for freedom changed to a vote of more warfare between classes, more government control, more hatred to Christianity, and an acceptance of hatred towards America and Israel. What happened? Can we trust YHWH with such a drastic change of direction?
In Genesis chapter 23, Abraham’s wife, Sarah passes away. Abraham then buys a plot of land in Canaan in order to bury her. Why Canaan we might ask? Consider a couple of key points: First, Abraham secures a place in the “promised land” to form a legal contract. Second, the burial spot for his wife now secures residency in this “promised land.”
Question #1 Even in the midst of a upside down world, can we secure a place in the promised kingdom? If so, is it possible for us to secure a contract for our place in that Kingdom?
In I Kings chapter one, we see an political attempt by David’s eldest son to take the crown. An action not directed by YHWH. But through the actions and concerns of Bathsheba and the prophet Nathan, Solomon gains the rightful throne.
Then Bathsheba bowed and prostrated herself before the king. And the king said, “What is on your mind?” So she said to him, “My lord, you yourself swore to your servant by the Lord your God, saying, ‘Your son Solomon certainly shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’ I Kings 1: 16-17
Question #2 When is it right to speak up? If and when we do, what manner should we speak and what promise(s) should be claimed?
The Apostle Paul talks about life after death in I Corinthians 15. He does so, to remind “the saints” who are being persecuted to think about their greater calling.
But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come? ”You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies; I Cor. 15:35-36
Question #3 Is it more important to shed off the old self in order to gain new life? What does it take to make this happen?
As you ponder what will happen next in America and Israel, will we consider the lessons found in the above questions. Does something have to die in order to claim a contract? Do times of hardship cause us to have more faith or less faith?
Is there something greater for us to know as prophecy starts to unfold? Paul writes to a young pastor to help remind him that not all is lost when facing a pagan world. In fact, his message is for the “saints” to stand strong is very clear.
For YHWH has not given us over to a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
As believers, we will be facing very large trials at the start of 2027. How can we gather faith in the midst of this? Claim victory in the death & resurrection of Messiah. Don’t be caught up in this attempt to destroy. Instead lay claim to His promised contract.
And if the Spirit of him who raised Yeshua from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your moral bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. Rom. 8:11
Be blessed this Sabbath,
